The Rehoboth Cathedral
is a non-denominational church located in the heart of Brooklyn, NY.
In August of 1983, the Rehoboth Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God of the Universe was founded and officially incorporated. Over time, Bible study, meetings, prayer vigils and tabletop exercises to embellish the vision God gave to Gerald Seabrooks, began to burgeon into a small congregation.
As the church grew to exceed its Wednesday night capacity in the homes and living rooms of the members, the search to find a permanent church home became a pressing and dire need. In October, 1990 Pastor Gerald Seabrooks, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, lead the fellowship of Rehoboth to the place where “….the Lord hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land”(Genesis 26:22).
Great and marvelous things have happened over the course of the last 20 years. The edifice, now known as Rehoboth Cathedral, is a large church and public assembly – located in the center of Brooklyn, NY. Our doors are open for the lost to receive Christ; the backslider to be reclaimed, the community hub of service provisions and a learning center.
“The Rehoboth Cathedral will continue the works of the Lord Jesus. We will go through the world teaching, loving, serving with humility, edifying, embracing, and empowering, so that congregants mature to become like our Savior.”
Rehoboth’s Mission Scriptures:” Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you; and Io, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen”
Saint Matthew 28:19-20
